Implementation guidelines for a safe experience

 

[Required to wear life jackets and leash cords (SUP only)]

All tour participants must wear life jackets at all times. Also, those who experience SUP must wear a leash cord. Use a vest-type life jacket to prevent it from falling off your body when you fall into the water, and one with a buoyancy of at least 5.0 kg to allow you to breathe while floating.

 

[Tour cancellation criteria]

If the weather and sea conditions in the bay meet any of the following conditions, or even if they are below the conditions:

The tour may be canceled or the contents may be changed.

  • When the wind speed is 10m/s or more

  • When the wave height is 0.5m or more

  • When visibility is less than 1000m

  • When a storm, tsunami, wave warning, advisory, or other warning is issued in Atashika Town.

 

[Contact system]

Instructors must carry a waterproof cell phone or a phone in a waterproof case to maintain emergency communication. In the event of an emergency, we will promptly contact the fire department, police, Japan Coast Guard, and other related organizations using the contact network listed on the back.

 

  [Safety measures]

  • When conducting a tour, an instructor must accompany the instructor, and in accordance with maritime regulations such as the Maritime Collision Prevention Act and the Port Regulations Act, the instructor must be on guard and keep a watchful eye on the surrounding area.

  • Before the start of the tour, we will carry out a preliminary inspection of the equipment, boat, and paddle used.

  • All tour participants must wear a life jacket.

  • We will check the physical condition of participants before the tour begins, and those who are unwell will be refused participation in the tour.
